The most important thing to know: your video files are never uploaded to our servers. All video processing happens entirely in your browser.
Video File Processing
When you use our online tool, your video file is processed using WebAssembly technology directly in your web browser. The file never leaves your device, is never transmitted over the internet, and is never stored on any server. We have zero access to your video content.
Data We Collect
- Analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website (pages visited, time on site, device type). IP addresses are anonymized.
- Contact form submissions: If you contact us, we collect your name, email, and message to respond to your inquiry.
- Cookies: We use essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies (with your consent) for Google Analytics.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Video files or video content
- Personal accounts or login credentials
- Payment information (the service is free)
- Browser fingerprints
- Third-party tracking or advertising data
Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics 4 for website analytics. Google's privacy policy applies to data they collect. We do not use any advertising networks, social media trackers, or other third-party tracking services.
Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
You have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; opt out of analytics tracking; request a copy of data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal data and no video content, most users have no personal data stored with us beyond analytics.
Browser Extension
The Video Speeder browser extension does not collect, store, or transmit any data. It operates entirely locally within your browser and does not communicate with any external servers.
